Poisoned-Toothed Giant Desert Centipedes are a race of centipede monsters that appeared during the Penalty Zone. True to their name, they are gigantic centipedes with sharp mandibles, sharp teeth, brown shells, and six small white eyes.
Although it's not made clear as to how powerful they were, they were able to give Jinwoo a decent challenge when he got sent there while he was trying to clear the Job Change Quest Dungeon. As he already at the level of an A-Rank at the time, it can be assumed that they were at least on the level of a B-Rank.
Appearance[]
The centipede is enormous, with a segmented, armored exoskeleton. Its body has a reddish-brown hue, making it blend with the desert environment. Each segment of its body is equipped with sharp, blade-like legs that seem perfect for slicing through anything in its path.
The creature has a terrifying face with multiple beady eyes, giving it a menacing, insect-like stare. Its primary feature is its large, venomous fangs—dripping with poison—which seem to be its main weapon for both attacking and injecting toxins into its prey.
The centipede is depicted lunging forward, its many legs in motion, suggesting its immense speed despite its size. Its mouth is open wide, revealing a terrifying set of mandibles and fangs ready to strike.

Trivia[]
- The centipede gets its name from the highly toxic venom that drips from its fangs. A single bite can paralyze even the strongest of hunters, and the poison spreads quickly, making it a formidable opponent. The venom not only inflicts physical damage but can also corrode armor and weapons over time.
- As a desert creature, the Poisoned-Toothed Giant Desert Centipede is known for its ability to burrow underground at incredible speeds. It often uses this tactic to ambush its prey by emerging suddenly from the sand, making it an unpredictable threat in desert dungeons.
- Its thick exoskeleton provides it with incredible defense. Most normal weapons barely scratch its surface, and only high-level attacks or magic can break through its armor. This makes the centipede a near-invincible foe when faced even by unprepared hunters.
- In the novel Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, Poisoned-Toothed Giant Desert Centipedes transform into shadow soldiers temporarily.
