Pyramid Field is a Field Type Dungeon that appeared in Egypt.
Description[]
The Pyramid Field is located in the middle of a desolate desert, built in Egyptian style architecture, surrounded a tall wall, containing pillars and various stone shrines with a great pyramid centered in the middle. The area around the dungeon are infested with Poisoned-Toothed Giant Desert Centipedes that swim beneath the sands. The field is also haunted by hostile undead Mummies. Like all dungeons, normal technologies do not work, so all vehicles and other devices are discarded outside the walls.
Norma Selner had made a prophecy that said "A life born of death which appeared from the shattered seal...will appear at the tomb, possessing powers to raise the dead." The prophecy was relayed to her old friend, Thomas Andre, Guild Master of the Scavenger Guild. And shortly after the prophecy was made the Pyramid Field manifested in Egypt. Seeing its appearance and Norma's prophecy to be too much of a coincidence, Thomas ordered his subordinate Randolph to claim the dungeon until he could arrive and lead a raid. As for the other guilds that approached the dungeon, he was told to block their access to it.
This created a conflict with the Asura Guild, led by Rio Xing who were sent to investigate the dungeon. Initially Rio's group were put in a disadvantage due to the Scavengers Guild greater numbers, and thus leading to a tense standoff. However when Sung Suho and his party arrived lost, their arrival was interpreted as being representatives from the East who had also come for the secrets of the pyramid. Their arrival led to Randolph attacking Suho, provoking a fight, which led to Suho and Rio forming an alliance.
However the hunters found themselves also contending with the various local monsters. This allowed Randolph and his men the distraction to head into the dungeon and claim whatever treasure laid within.
It was originally assumed that the dungeon was C-Rank, however after Randolph disturbed and awoke, Ammut, it was re-evaluated that the dungeon may actually be S-Rank. However it turned out that the dungeon was actually a prison to house Ammut, an experimental subject created by the Monarch of the Iron Body and Kandiaru. The dungeon was destroyed after Suho defeated the real boss, and Ammut was freed and brought to the Shadow Dungeon.
