Randolph (렌돌프) was an American A-Rank Hunter under the Scavenger Guild.
Appearance[]
Randolph was a large and muscular man with a prominent scar under his left eye, spiky gray hair, and mismatching eye colors; his left eye was a dull gray, while his right eye was bright green. In his first appearance, he was dressed in gray armor over a black robe with gold trims. He also wielded a large shield with gold trims and a massive war hammer that he usually had fastened on his right hip.
During his meeting with Thomas, he was shown wearing a simple three-piece suit.
Personality[]
Much like his master Thomas Andre, Randolph was a man who valued overwhelming power above all else and had no qualms using physical force to achieve his goals, as shown when he threatened to massacre Rio and his guildmates if they didn't submit to his demands. He also disliked being taken lightly, as shown when he got angry upon realizing that Suho deliberately held back against him and furiously ordered his guildmates to kill every hunter in the vicinity who wasn't willing to follow their orders.
Despite his arrogant and violent temperament, Randolph recognized strong hunters when he saw them in action, as shown by how he was impressed to see Suho stop holding back and take out of his own men, who was a B-Rank Hunter, with just one punch. He was also rational enough to set his ego aside in order to focus on the task at hand.
History[]
Pyramid Arc[]
After receiving orders from Thomas Andre, Randolph led a group of hunters from the Scavenger Guild to a field-type dungeon that had recently spawned in Egypt. Upon arriving there, he discovered that a party from the Asura Guild led by Rio Singh were looking to clear the dungeon too. When he attempted to force them to back off and give the Scavengers full rights to the dungeon, Suho suddenly appeared and asked them where he was.
Realizing that Suho was looking to clear the dungeon too, Randolph ordered him to leave. When Suho refused, as he needed to clear the dungeon to complete a quest recently given to him by the System, Randolph attacked him with the intent to kill, sparking a brawl between the two guilds that resulted in significant casualties on both sides. The commotion of their fight eventually attracted the attention of the monsters inside the dungeon, giving Randolph and his guildmates a chance to regroup and head to the boss room before Suho or Rio were able to stop them.
Upon arriving inside the boss room, Randolph was confronted by Ammut, who proceeded to rip off his restraints and attack them with the chains that had been used to hold him down. Although Randolph was able to block or parry most of Ammut's attacks, none of his guildmates were able to keep up with him and were all slaughtered. Now all alone, Randolph attacked Ammut with all the strength he could muster, but was stunned to find out that he was too weak to any damage and that Ammut hadn't been hurt at all. With no time left to run, Randolph only had a second to mentally apologize to Thomas for failing him right before Ammut punched him in the square in the torso, nearly ripping him in half and killing him instantly.[1]
